DashNav — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 July 2026

DashNav (“the app”) is navigation software for motorcycles with a KTM Gen3 TFT dashboard. This policy explains, in plain terms, what the app collects and why. The short version: the app has no accounts, no logins, and does not track you.

What the app collects

What the app does NOT do

Where your data goes

The app talks only to our own backend (api.ktmconnectplus.eachut.com), which requests driving directions from the Google Routes API on your behalf. Route coordinates are passed through to obtain directions and are not stored against your identity. The Google Routes API is called only by our backend, never directly by the app. Google’s handling of that request is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

Data you control

Your saved routes and places are stored locally on your device. Removing them in the app, or deleting the app, removes them. You can export a backup of your routes to your own clipboard at any time.

Location permission: for guidance to keep running while riding with the screen off, iOS asks for “Always” location access. You can change this any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → DashNav. Without it, guidance still works while the app is on screen.

Children

The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the “last updated” date above will change. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
